How We Support Ophthalmology Pathways

We collaborate with NHS Trusts to provide additional capacity and specialist expertise in key areas of ophthalmology, including:

Outpatient Ophthalmology Clinics: Offering additional capacity for the diagnosis and management of a range of ophthalmic conditions, including cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and macular degeneration. Our Consultants and Ophthalmic Nurses help Trusts reduce outpatient waiting lists while ensuring timely care for patients.
Diagnostic Ophthalmology: Enhancing Trust capacity for essential diagnostic procedures such as visual field testing, optical coherence tomography (OCT), and fundus photography. Our Specialist Ophthalmologists ensure accurate and timely diagnoses, helping Trusts manage increasing demand for ophthalmic diagnostics.
Surgical Ophthalmology: Providing skilled Ophthalmic Surgeons for procedures such as cataract surgery, vitrectomy, trabeculectomy, and laser treatments. We help Trusts meet surgical demand and reduce waiting times for critical eye surgeries.
Post-Operative and Follow-Up Care: Supporting Trusts with post-operative monitoring and follow-up appointments to ensure smooth recovery for patients. Our Specialist Nurses and Consultants work with Trusts to provide continuity of care, easing the strain on permanent staff.

We will work with you to identify available capacity within the department on weekdays, evenings and weekends.

A team of Consultants, Nurses and Support Staff will then be handpicked by us and approved by you to work in your Trust.

Following the first week, we will review the service with you and, if necessary, make any required adjustments.
