Outsourcing 01 / 02
Outsourcing for NHS Trusts and ICBs
Outsourcing patient care involves commissioning independent healthcare providers, such as Your Medical Services (YMS), to deliver routine diagnostics, outpatient clinics, and minor procedures. This allows NHS Trusts and Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) to focus on more complex and specialised treatments. Outsourcing aligns with the NHS’s strategy of shifting non-complex care from secondary (hospital-based) settings to primary and community care. By outsourcing services, NHS Trusts can reduce the pressure on hospitals, enabling them to prioritise critical cases. This model has successfully expanded capacity in community settings, reduced waiting times, and improved access to care closer to patients’ homes.
Our mission...
Our mission is to relieve elective pressure on NHS Trusts and ICBs by delivering non-complex care in community settings, reducing public spend, and freeing up hospital resources. Your Medical Services partners with NHS facilities to offer services closer to patients’ homes at reduced costs against the national tariff. This approach supports the NHS’s goals of improving access, reducing referral to treatment (RTT) times, and enhancing patient outcomes.
